Manufacturing Process
01.

Pulping

Art Paper starts with 100% virgin wood pulp, which undergoes a rigorous chemical treatment to remove lignin and other impurities. This process ensures the fiber is exceptionally clean and pure, forming the basis for the paperboard’s bright white appearance.

02.

Bleaching

Once pulped, the fibers are bleached to enhance their whiteness, pivotal for achieving the premium look synonymous with Art Paper.

03.

Coating

Each sheet is coated on both sides to improve ink receptivity and provide resistance against environmental factors. This coating is crucial for achieving the high-quality print results for which Art Paper is known.

04.

Drying and Calendering

After the coating is applied, the paper needs to be dried. The sheets are compressed and smoothed in a process called calendaring, which ensures uniform thickness and a glossy finish, enhancing both the aesthetic and tactile qualities of the paperboard.

Proper Storage & Care for Art Papers

Keep Paper Flat

Store loose sheets in flat files, portfolios, or between acid-free boards to prevent curling and creases.

01

Use Acid-Free Storage Materials

Avoid contact with cardboard, non-archival folders, or acidic surfaces that can cause discoloration.

02

Control Humidity & Temperature

Store paper in a cool, dry place (ideal: 50-65% humidity, 60-75°F) to prevent warping or mold growth.
